Hawzah News Agency - People held demonstrations on Monday night to express their solidarity with Shaykh Isa Qasim, the spiritual leader of the Shiite majority in the Arab country.
The demonstrators reiterated their full support for Shaykh Qasim and imprisoned Shiite clerics and chanted anti-regime slogans.
They emphasized that they will continue their protests until their legitimate demands are met.
In a statement on Saturday, Bahraini religious scholars called on people to participate in nationwide rallies in solidarity with Shaykh Qasim, whose citizenship the Al Khalifa regime has revoked.
“We hereby pledge to shed the last drop of our blood in defense of religious and national leader, Ayatollah Shaykh Isa Ahmad Qasim,” the statement read.
